Four Seasons at Deep Creek Lake!

Deep Creek Lake, Maryland, is a four season destination! That means that each season brings a new climate, a new chance to see the scenery, and a unique perspective on nature itself. From the Suites at Silver Tree, each season offers its own type of beauty!

Summer at Deep Creek Lake

Summer

Our favorite season! Summer at Deep Creek Lake is unlike any other season. The cooler mountain climate keeps temperatures and humidity from reaching high levels - making it 10-15 degrees cooler than surrounding areas. The lake temperature can get as warm as 75 degrees during late summer, too! June is typically a mild month, with rain showers and warm temps. We reach peak season temps and typically drier weather during July and August. September is a beautiful month, too, as it's still warm enough to enjoy the water!

Fall Weather at Deep Creek Lake

Fall

The most colorful time of the year! Enjoy brilliant hues of the season at Deep Creek Lake during the brisk fall months. Fall weather during the first two months is mainly dry and mild, with warm and moderate temperatures. Towards the end of October and into November, the weather cools off and we usually see a few bouts of snow! Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons - you have to see it for yourself! The Suites at Silver Tree are lined in stunning burning bushes, which bloom vibrantly during the fall months.

Winter Weather at Deep Creek Lake

Winter

As the highest elevation in Maryland, the Deep Creek Lake area has fantastic winter weather! With an average of 10+ feet of snow each year, you'll experience a winter wonderland like nothing else. Wisp Resort, just minutes from the Suites at Silver Tree, is Maryland's only downhill ski resort. Wisp Resort offers 35+ downhill trails and 7 lifts. Winter weather can be harsh at times - make sure you bring plenty of warm clothes! Our winter season typically lasts from late November to late March.

Spring Weather at Deep Creek Lake

Spring

Spring is a wonderful season to visit Deep Creek Lake! The weather varies a bit, with a little bit of winter, summer, and spring all together. Once the snow melts and the temperatures start creeping up, the trees start budding and the beauty of spring abounds! Spring weather is typically mild and rainy around the lake area. It's typically a quiet time for our area and hotel, making it the perfect time to visit for some R&R.
